THE GREEK INTERPRETERS

On Wednesday, October 20th, the Greek interpreters met at the Park Lake Grill restaurant in East Lansing for our fall meeting. In recognition of the approach of Halloween, the story selected for study was "The Sussex Vampire". The meeting opened with the customary Canonical Toasts to Mrs. Hudson, Mycroft Holmes, the Second Mrs. Watson and The Woman.

Melas, a former leader of The Greek Interpreters (aka Donald Yates, professor emeritus of Spanish) provided a quiz, which tested the members' recall of story details. This quiz and many earlier quizzes may be viewed here.

Following the quiz, the meeting concluded, as usual, by reading Vincent Starrett's "221B" poem, and the singing of The Anthem.
