THE GREEK INTERPRETERS


On Wednesday evening September 26th the Greek interpreters met at the University Club for their Fall meeting. In honor of the 100th anniversery of its first publication, Chapters 1 and 2 of the "Hound of the Baskerville" were selected for study. "Mr. Patrick" and "Violet Hunter" had obtained a shipment of the new annotated version of this novel by Philip Weller, subtitled "Hunting the Dartmoor Legend", and this stimulated the interest of the many members who purchased it. A spirited discussion of this classic adventure took place. In the absence of our usual quiz master "Woman I", the members were challenged by a difficult quiz prepared by "Thorneycroft Huxtable". This quiz is reproduced here.
"Professor Moriarty" and "Hilton Soames" visited London this past summer, and returned with photographs of some Holmsian locations. These are shown below.
