Kemble and 3 with Victor Guillemin. The topics of all seven are quantum
mechanics and similar to thesis title. Kemble received a PhD from Harvard
in 1917 and published 36 papers 1916-1939 (20 sole-authored) and a book in
1958. Guillemin published 6 papers 1926-1935 (and possibly 3 patents on
other subjects). Kemble and Guillemin jointly published in 1928. [I
suspect Guillemin might have been a fellow student with Zener rather than
his preceptor.} Kemble appears a likely candidate as Zener's preceptor.
