What is presented in this page is a very brief introduction to some of the software available on the internet. It is our intention to present software that we have found as being useful for both research and education, yet may not be well known. Again this is a brief introduction to some of the uses we have made of certain applications. Most of the software listed has internet sites that provide on line documentation describing how the software can be obtained, what platforms it runs on, and how to install and run the software.
