NCW Poster Contest
As part of every annual
celebration of National Chemistry Week (NCW), the
American Chemical Society (ACS) sponsors a poster
contest for students in Kindergarten – Grade 12.
This year, students are
invited to create a poster that celebrates the 2009 theme “Chemistry—It’s
Elemental”, which commemorates the 140th anniversary of Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements. Students are
invited to create a poster that celebrates the theme “Chemistry—It’s
Elemental!”. The poster should be fun, motivational and inspire students to
learn about one or more elements in the periodic table.
Consider the roles that elements play in your everyday life.
